Prorector for Foreign Affairs
born on 15thApr., 1940, in Warsaw, a 1962 year graduate of Warsaw University. He earned his doctoral degree in the Polish Academy of Sciences, in 1969. His responsibilities include the organization of the teaching and learning process, development of social research, and international co-operation. Since 1964 he has carried on international comparative research on the territorial self-government systems, and, since 1970, participated in the activities of international societies for political science and sociology, of the International Social Sciences Council, and of the UNESCO. He started as Assistant Reader and then Reader at the Polish Academy of Sciences, then held the post of Assistant Professor at Warsaw University, and worked as the Deputy Director of the Institute of the Basic Issues of Marxism-Leninism and as the Deputy Director of the Foreign Department of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party. In the years 1981-1987 he worked for the Secretariat of the UN Organization, and managed the program of the International Year of Peace, as well as the activities of the Peace Research Section. In 1990 he was a co-founder of the Kelles-Krauz Foundation, and its Vice-President till 1993. Since 1990 he has coordinated the research work on local democracies in 31 countries of Europe, America and Asia, and, since 1996, acted as Secretary of the European Education Council of the Ministry of National Education and Sport. In the years 1997-2001 he was Vice-President and then President of the Committee for Higher Education and Research of the Council of Europe. Since 2003 he has been chairing the Task Group for Local and Global Relations of the International Sociological Association. In 2004 he was awarded a doctorate by the Kaliningrad State University of. His other awards include the Military Cross of the Order of the Restitution of Poland, and a Medal of the Commission of National Education.

Research : contemporary history of the world, especially the Balkan issues, and the history and lives of Poles living in the East.

A Historical Outline, 1987; co-author of The International Labour Movement, vol. 2, 1976; Emigration from Poland in the 20th Century, 1998; Poles from Abroad in the Fight for Freedom 1914-1920, 2000; In the Balkan Melting-Pot, 2002; Migration Processes of the Polish People, 2002; co-author and editor of a series of documents: For the Independent Homeland and Its Borders ( 4 volumes), 2000-2002; translator of Bulgarian belles-lettres, and Bulgarian historical and scientific writings (14 books).
As Professor, he conferred 16 doctoral degrees.

Dr hab. Marian Dygo, prof. AH
Prorector for Student Affairs
born on 22nd January, 1951, in Pasłęk. He is a mediaeval historian, graduate of the Institute of History at the University of Warsaw (1975). He got started on his academic career path in 1983 with a doctoral degree followed by a higher doctoral degree (doctor habilitatus) in 1993. From 1993 to 2000 he was the Deputy Director of the Institute of History in the University of Warsaw. Prof. dr hab. Marian Dygo has been attached to the Faculty of History in Pultusk Academy of Humanities since when it was founded in 1994, and acted in his official capacity as the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History of Pultusk Academy of Humanities in the years 2006-2008.
Other functions and responsibilities: Member of the Central Committee supervising the All-Poland History Contest; Member of the Board of Editors of “Srednie veka” periodical (Russia).
